Orchestration and automation
I automate releases, configuration and infrastructure with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform and GitOps, so releasing becomes a repeatable procedure.
- Who it is for
- Teams with manual releases, hand-configured servers or Jenkins pipelines that are hard to maintain.
- Where
- Pavia and Lombardy on site by appointment, across Italy and Europe remotely.
- How it starts
- A call, then a written proposal with scope, timing and cost.
Problems I solve
- Fragile pipelines: outdated plugins and jobs defined by hand. Jenkins LTS 2.580 requires Java 21 or 25.
- Snowflake servers: configurations nobody can reproduce. Ansible makes them repeatable and testable.
- Environments that differ between development and production: infrastructure as code and ephemeral environments.
What you get
- Pipelines as code (Jenkinsfile, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI)
- Tested Ansible playbooks and roles
- Terraform/OpenTofu modules and a GitOps flow
In practice
I turn manual steps into repeatable processes: release pipelines (Jenkins and others), configuration with Ansible, infrastructure as code, GitOps, identical environments from development to production. The goal is to make releasing boring.
- CI/CD pipelines and release strategies
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab CI; Terraform/OpenTofu; GitOps (Argo CD, Flux)
- Ansible playbooks and roles for servers, network and applications
- Ephemeral environments and internal developer platforms
- Cloud costs under control
Technologies
- Jenkins LTS 2.580
- ansible-core 2.19-2.21
- Terraform
- OpenTofu
- Argo CD
- GitHub Actions
- GitLab CI
How I work
- Listening A call to understand the context, the problem and the constraints. No commitment.
- Proposal Scope, timing and cost written clearly, before anything starts.
- Delivery Small shippable steps, regular updates and code in your own repository.
- Handover Documentation and training: the work ends when your team can run it alone.
